How To install Catback Exhaust?

Ok, I got my newer flowmaster catback in and I am not exactly sure about how to go about removing my old exhaust and installing the flowmaster. Do i have to remove the the rear crossmemebers? I would like to remove my old exhaust sytem as a whole and then install the new one allready assembled. I have the ability to work on a lift so extreme angles wont be much of a problem....

Thanks Guys...

As long as you can get the intermediate pipe over the axle without cutting it you'll be fine. I believe most people are doing the install in their driveway so they have to cut the pipe to get it over the axle. Since you have a lift you should be ok. Just spray some break away or something on all the bolts and fasteners and let them sit for awhile. I'm confident they all will be rusted in place. It's a pretty easy job, you shouldn't have any trouble doing it. Just reverse the steps to install your new catback and your done. The new one should come with directions.

So What should i unbolt? Obviously the pipe that connects to the catalytic converter...but what else should i remove? There looks like there is a crossmember that olds the rear end up that is in the way and another crossmember brace by the front of the intermediate pipe. Should i remove these?

Thanks Again..

I don't think you have to. Someone else might chime in and say different. Just unbolt the I pipe from the one that the cat is on yes, then unbolt the I pipe where it goes into the muffler. The muffler/tailpipe assembly will come off in one big peice and the I pipe will be a seperate one. It will be much easier to mess with the I pipe when there's no muffler attached. That way you can move and twist it so you can get it off the car. This would be pretty much impossible without the use of a lift. No lift would require you to cut the I pipe in possibly more than one place to remove it.
