I picked up a set of manley pistons a little while ago and they recommend using manley file to fit rings. How important is it to use manley rings? Can I use any rings, do they have to be file to fit? they are 4.030" pistons. thanks

 

Of course Manley wants you to buy Manley pistons, Manley rings, and a Manley file.

I don't know for sure, but I really doubt that it's all that important.
