How hig can you rev a stock LT1

How hig can you rev a stock LT1

Hey guys, how high can you wind up a stock LT1?
Where is the power band kick in and out?

Redline is 5750. I believe.The rev limiter wont let it go higher unless changed,which wont do any good.HP peaks at 5200.

It goes fastest when shifted ~5,700.

Be sure to specify if you are talking about the tach reading or the actual engine speed. My car when stock ran best with the tach needle at 6000... this was in reality 5800. Most that I have seen are reading approx. 200 rpm higher.

If you rev, without a load, dont go above 4750 on your tach reading. If you do so, you will start knocking your engine around. When you have a load on your engine (ie moving in gear) then you can hit 6000 if you want to.

my tach must be 500 off becuse it hit the rev limiter at 6200 the other day
