How the heck (pretty big tune up LOL)

Ok first ovall let me explain what was my last weekend.

I install brand new parts :

-Strange 12 bolts HD Kinda of heavy when you dont do it on a garage lift but i would say that i had no problem
-Lower control arm
-Adjustable panhard rod
-New set of Koni adjustable shock DA
-285/35/18 tire on 18X9.5,i had to cut the bump stop
-Stranos hollow35/22mm sway bar kit, the fittment is not really perfect with the link kit but nothing that a dremel can fix
-C5 brake kit with braided lines, except for the cutting of the 2 ears with a grinder this was really easy and bolt on
-Ditch the ABS/TCS module and still working on he lines propotion valve and line lock
-Msd blaster coil

That was the fun part now lets say thers is 2 things that are little bit anoying right now

I got to install a new meziere electric water pump, power steering pump, msd cap and rotor kit,new belt, accel 9000 wires and tr55 plug and drain the coolant.

Those are pretty stupid question but man im stuck on them:

Spark plug:I was able to change the 4 on the driver sides, and the 2 middle one on the pass side but ....

How the hell do you change the first and the last spark plug on the passenger side?

And there is 2 coolant drain pug on the block(one on each side) i see them but how do you reach them?

Thank you

The last plug on the pass. side is the hardest for me....but I usually do it from the bottom, reaching zig-zig through the y-pipe and just using a spark plug socket and 3/8 ratchet, maybe a small ext. I can't remember, if your hands are small enough, it can also been done from the top. The first plug, can be done with the same tools, but only from the top, but you need the smallest ext. on that, like 1 in, but its even easier if you remove the alternator(but you don't have too) depending on the size of your hands/arms. Either way, the alt comes right out, just a few bolts, and remove the belt, no biggie compared to all the crap you did last weekend, nice upgrades btw

As far as the drains....if you have an elec pump I don't know if I would even messs with it, just remove the radiator drain plug and pump fresh water in, some flush action, without the thermostat of course.

Buy some LTs (Hooker, Jet Hot and Pace Setter are the only ones I can speak for) and the plugs can be changed in about 20 mins.

For the spark plug, thank you i removed(again) the alternator and it was really easy. The last is not done yet since im 6 feet 4" tall and weighting 310pounds, im not able to pass my hands between the y-pipe and the car.

And what your are saying about the flush, is removed the thermosthat and reinstall the cover. And then just shoot some fresh water in the radiator and this will flush all my system?

Honestly, for the last one I got my GF to do it, her arms were small enough to get a socket around it. And I'm only 180 lbs... !

Give me your 12 bolt and I'll do it all for you.

Should, as long as the elec pump is pumping, just keep steady flow(water hose?) into the radiator, and then let it flow out of the drain....should work.

Re: How the hell (pretty big tune up LOL)

On last pass side plug, I do it without actually LOOKING at the plug... all by feel... and if i remember right... i THINK it helped to lay sideways under the car, so that my head is facing up toward the front left wheel, and my legs are pointing out past the front right wheel, leaving my torse under the block at a 90* angle to the rotating axis of the motor. Make sense?

I think that is what I did, give it a shot.

The passenger side drain plug is the knock sensor. I used a 7/8" deep socket. The 9/16" plug on the drives side is impossible. I couldn't get enough leverage to turn it.

For the rear two plug on the passenger side I just remove the starter.I leave it wire up and slide it back on the frame. You then have room get at them. This works for both the stock manifolds and SLP mids , no need to drop the y-pipe.

LTs make the plugs SO much easier. Manifolds and shorties FTL.

So true. I had Eldebrock TES shorties, which worked pretty well, but it took hours to change the plugs. It sucked.
