****... i'm in with the others... may god have mercy on your soul...

he must've spared me when i was doing it. thank god for hooker long tubes... i replaced my plugs and wires... the plugs were easy, driver's side wires were easy... but you might as well keep a punching bag nearby for the passenger side cuz it's gonna **** you off at least 8 billion times before you get it done.

the first time changing your plug wires is like the first time a girl virgin has sex...

IT'S ONLY GONNA HURT ONCE... BUT DAMN IT'S GONNA HURT.

Edit!! I almost forgot what I was gunna say... Guys It just occurred to me.... In my Twin cat 95Z... it seems as if removing that Y pipe down below will open up all that space to change plugs and maybe even wires from underneath.... Has anyone attempted to do this??? Could it be that simple???

Yes pulling the Y pipe can open up some room.
But so can pulling the starter.
Niether of which I want to do just to change plugs.
But if you are having problems both of these things will help make more room.
Keep in mind the Y pipe is most likely rusty as hell and you more than likely will break off a stud thus making more problems for yourself.
Starter is pretty safe to remove though, unless the Y pipe is in the way
Damn I love my LTs.

Taylor heat sleeves may help you out too. They're about $50 but worth every penny.

Also consider using wire (zip) ties. I used about 27 routing all 8 wires in the stock location with my Hooker LT's... just put one every couple inches to tuck those babies as close to the block and away from the primaries as possible. Believe it or not, it CAN be done.

And no, it was NOT fun at all.

Pulling the Y-pipe on a single cat car like mine is the way to go. Plug changes with the pipe re and re are about and hour and a half, no band-aids, no stress, working easy. Plug wires mean releasing the power steering pump from the bracket and feeding them around on the corner. I used a stock diameter wire set. Another hour and half first time, with the y-pipe out. It is always best to give yourself room to move and work, one of the first things any good mechanic learns, so remove the things that get in the way.

I just installed the Taylor OVC wires. The main problem I had was working with limited space up front to cut to length, crimp ends, and install boot. If you can remove the wire and cut and fab your new one to length outside the car you would be way ahead. Mike
