How hard to change coil & module?

Getting a SES light with a code pointing to the coil module. I have the original coil and module (150K on the car). Was thinking of getting the MSD Blaster GM Coil and a new factory module. Can someone give me an idea of how difficult these are to install and how long it should take?

Thanks!

Pretty fast, 2 connectors, two studs and one has a nut on it. Nothing much in the way, I'd say 10 minutes tops. Make sure you coat the back of the new ICM with Die-electric grease.

Re: How hard to change coil & module?

awesome!! thanks very much. this is probably a dumb question, but do ya'll see any way that a faulty or partially faulty coil and/or coil module could contribute to me running rich? i have a feeling not, but trying to narrow it down and have been troubleshooting it for several weeks now (see my sig for rundown of recent rebuild)

thanks again!

Not completely igniting all the fuel because of poor spark could be a contributing factor.
