How good are Pacesetter long tubes?
I just bought the entire works on eBay for a buddy of mine. Coated headers and coated y-pipe.
There has been a recent review of these headers here in this forum a few days ago so try a search for that one. In that topic there was some talk about them being a little inconsistent as far as quality goes.
I'll take pics and let you guys know.

I have no real experience with their LTs, BUT I have seen pictures, and wasn't very impressed with the ones I seen.
I can tell you I was/am VERY disappointed with their Mid lengths that are on my car right now.
If their LTs keep the EGR hook ups be warned:
I can say that the EGR hook ups for my headers were the wrong size, and would have needed to be rethreaded, or have a connecter screwed into them to work, also the collectors are positioned just right so that a bolt on the passenger side header can't be installed(Shouldn't be an issue on a LT design). Also the y-pipe took the muffler show ALOT of time to get to work, overall the quality was low. Also they leak along the flange some...
Maybe their LTs are different, but I know I am not the only one with issues with their Pace Setters.
I bought Jet Hot LTs to replace the Pace Setters.. Hopefully by the end of the week they will be installed and I can supply some better feedback than what the Pace Setters have allowed me to say.

After reading some of the reviews on here about the Pacesetters. I would probably end up getting the crappy set that the tech with a hangover from the night before welded up and made them all crappy. Jet Hots it is............

I've just started the Pacesetter LT installation on my Son's '94 Formula. The driver's side went right on. The only issue was having to drill one of the holes out. There was some weld covering a portion of one of them. The steering shaft rubs ever so slightly as well. I'd recommend doing a little clearance work with a hammer to prevent this from happening. I'm gonna tackle the passenger side today and see if the engine needs to be jacked up or not. As far as the appearance goes...the headers look great. They have very thick flanges and the coating looks great.

I have seen good and bad reviews about them. Some seem to be pleased while others wished they had spent a little more on a name they know works and has be proven. Im really not worried about the money, I seen some Pacesetters on EBAY and didnt know anything about them so I decided to ask. Thanks again.
I installed the passenger side Pacesetter LT header on the Formula today. I had to notch the k-member flange just a little and had to grind 1/4" off of the transmission bellhousing...right beside the starter. I removed the starter, but didn't remove the alternator, nor did I have to jack up the engine. The header slipped right in. I did have to bend my transmission dipstick tube just a bit...my homemade EGR block off plate was a little too thick. If you make your own block off plate just use 1/8" steel...it should be sufficient. The car sounds great with open headers. I'm taking it to the muffler shop Monday for the true duals and twin Flowmasters. I really like my Pacesetters and Texas Speed and Performance gave me a great deal on them as well.
