Well my wrong, thanks for clearing it up for me 4.10's just seemed a little steep for not wanting anything else done to the car. It wasn't really the gears that got me it was everything else that didn't make sense. Next time could you tell me what I said wrong from the get go? But telling me I don't know what I'm talking about is a little harsh.

What's the budget?

Biggest ET reduction is going to come from a great 60 ft. I'd plan on 26" ET Streets, 4.11 gears (preferably in a 12-bolt or 9 inch rear) and an aftermarket clutch. That should get him at least 1.7 60-foot times which will shave around a half second 1/4 mile ET compared to what he's probably running now. A bigger y-pipe is an alternative to headers and worthwhile if you also do something about the restriction in the cats.

kind of silly staying away from longtubes that could give him 22+ at the wheels. Good for about 3/10ths and with Nitto's and mild suspension/chassis and either 3:73 or 4:10 gears he could get into about 13.0 maybe depending on how strong his engine is, maybe high high 12's.
