Red face How to get my Y-pipe off......

I have a pacesetter slip fit y-pipe and clamped it all together. I need to take it apart, but the tubing has actually been crimped, so its all stuck together. How can I get this off, and be able to put it back on? Anybody know of any tricks?

You are gonna have to beat, wiggle and pound for a while, you could also heat the pipe up with a small propane torch or something similar

Heat will help, like mentioned above. I ended up having my Y-Pipe welded in, never could get the clamps to seal.

Depends where its stuck. If its slipped fitted on the collectors, take a BIG hammer (no rubber here) and beat the living hell out of it. It will come off.

If its the Ipipe connection, get the front (collectors) end off, point the ypipe down, and beat the living hell out of it the other direction.

If you really crimped it good you need to heat it up - like glowing red hot - or cut it. Good luck.
