How to get manifold AIR nut connections off
How to get manifold AIR nut connections off
I pulled my AIR pump and most of the tubing over the weekend, and cut the tubing fairly close to the manifold, thinking I could then get a large socket over it and twist it out.
The problem: It won't come out. I've soaked it with WD40, and Tri-Flow Superior Lubricant, brought the headers up to running temp, and they still won't come off. I'm darn near rounding the nuts from cranking on the so hard, and I still can't get them.
I'm out of ideas. For temp fix I thought I'd jam a thick screw threaded bolt down the pipe, but I'd much rather throw the 22mm plugs into the holes if/when I can get the stupid existing nuts out.
Thanks for all suggestions.

Try using Sea Foam's Deep Creep its the best stuff I have used! Or try heating up the nuts with a torch and then imeadiately melt some wax on the nut....the wax should get into the threads and help loosen the nut, get a wrench on them right away. Hope that helps.
