There are a few things on my car that are bugging the crap out of me and I would like o fix. Im just gonn make a list and if you have any input please let me know.

1. Little console under radio moves back and forth
2. Doors thudding when you shut them with the windows down
3. Carpet in back near hatch coming off, can get it to stay down
4. Whatever it is called below the window on the door keeps popping up, I think it may just need to be replaced.
5. Shaking when coming to a stop? No idea what this is
6. Black thing around door ahndle pops out

Im sure i will think of more, im pissed at my car right now.

1. Nothing u can really do about it, from the way it is mounted, it doesn't have much support.
2. Nothing u can really do here either, its from the way the glass sits under the door when the window is down. Close the door more gently
3. I used a bonder my dad found for me at the hardware store to reseal the carpet in the back area. I cleaned the metal with alcohol and put weight on the carpet over nite to make sure it would stick. It's still holding up/
4. Had the EXACT same problem. Mine was because the previous owner had an accident which unjammed that window seal and made it come loose. She had some hacks fix it and they just glued it back in place I'm going to have to eventually bite the bullet and have the body shop fix it.
5. Sounds like a brake problem. U may need new pads and a a rotor cutting.
6. ????? Not sure what ur talking about.

 

#6 is inside the car around the door handle to open the car door. The plastic that surrounds it keeps popping out, it looks like the screw that holds it in there is fine but whatever it is screwed too may be stripped.

 

It is possible nothing is stripped and that the door panel was just screwed into the wrong place. I have had a few mishaps with screwing my door panels back on the have gotton ugly.

Ur best bet is to just pull the door panel off and see whats up. If i remember correctly, its 3 big screws and 2 or 3 small ones.

 

Stupid car, cant wait to get a beater so i dont have to worry about this stuff everyday!! Especially the extrememly loud gears. I got the day off tomorrow so Im gona try to work on some of this stuff. Thanks

On #6,if you are talking about the rubber thing,go to Shoebox's site for door removal,and spin the black rubber thing around,and see if that helps.What I did is bought a vacuum cleaner black nylon round filter(kinda honey comb looking),and put it there and it looks awesome.It's the filter that sits on top of a vacuum motor about three inches round.Sounds hoeky,but it works for me.My02
