I founda few clips of slp dual/dual with lts and ory on an ls1. I was wondering how is sounds on the lt1 and if it is raspy at all?

 

I was running the SLP loudmouth with dual/dual tips on SLP shorty headers and a y-pipe with two high flow cats and mine sounded pretty good. Always got compliments on my exhaust. I would go with the SLP LM all over again if i had the choice. Very loud though of course. Even louder when i put on the cutout I wouldnt say its raspy. The only complaint i could come up with is if you rev it up and let the rpm's drop the exhaust has sort of a popping knoise as the rpm's fall. But ive noticed that just about every exhaust does this, i think its just a little louder with the SLP. Now my shorties are off and the y-pipe and cats are off as well. Will be throwing on some Pacesetter LT's with the offroad y. Wonder how she will sound, wouldnt imagine to much different. Maybe even louder Doesnt bother me any

 

I have slp loud mouth on my LT1....just got done doing pacesetters LT's and y pipe with no cats I just put it in the shop for mounting and hangers and also for them to cut the slp resenator out and put a dynomax bullit muffler....i will let you know later today how it sounds.....

 

To loud for ya with the resonator or what? How come ya switched to the muffler?

I have that one, I don't believe it is the loudmouth resonator. It is a muffler and it is fairly quiet stock, supposed to flow really good though. I have a cutout on it so i have quiet and loud at my disposal.

 

Never even knew they made the loudmouth with a muffler. I cant see that thing flowing better then a resonator. Thats the kit you bought though?

 

It came with the car. I guess it is just called the slp dual/dual. It's fairly different than the loudmouth with dual dual tips. It has the same muffler as the slp 2ontheleft. I guess they also have a loudmouth with 2otl tips.

 

Its going to be really quiet compared to any other exhuast. your probably going to want to throw a cut-out in just incase you want it louder. its going to be louder than an ls-1 though due to the block being iron instead of aluminum. the dual dual does flow good. if you ever decide to get rid of it or want to even up trade let me know. i have the loudmouth.

 

I like how loud it is....its just that loud raspy noise i dont like, thats why i went with a little 16' high flow muffler....sounds 100% better and i still have that rasp just alot deeper not so high pitch.....cannot complain...love the screeming from the lt's and no cats

 

i have the TOTL with pacesetter LT's and ory and tell you what when it 1st started i damn near wet myself no rasp at all and it sounds like it wants to eat small children
