Frank, remember the dyno is a tuning tool only!!!

RamAir95TA got crap for dyno numbers, but his car is going to move. He was just simply blowing right through his converter. His HP curve looked like a TQ curve, it was just a flat line across the board.

Simply said, who cares what the numbers were?? You KNOW you have a good tune for the gas now, and your car's still fast!
You can say that again!

Guess what else? My rear is trashed. I'm the only person I know of that can trash a rear on the dyno. On the way out, it was SCREAMING! Oh well, another one bites the dust...

I'm probably going to pull the Midwest and go with a Yank or Vigi. Either that or wire a TCC lockup switch. The graph was unbelievable. 293HP was my final number.

I have been forced to adopt the motto "we're not racing dyno's" because I've had a similar experience.

My car is a pig at 3700 lb (no weight removed, but a cage, driveshaft loop, supercharger, aftercooler, water tank, etc. . . added) and has run 10.40 at 133 mph. It dyno'd "only" 550 rwhp through a non-lock-up Vigilante 2800 and TH-350. Everyone else running those numbers is making 600 - 700 rwhp in heavy cars.

One point of note is that my torque peaked at 575 ftlb as soon as the throttle was opened at 3800 rpm, but the hp peak didn't occur until 6300 rpm, so the power band is very broad.

Everyone making more power is quick to tell me I need a different cam, more boost, head porting, etc. . . but they're not running any faster than me.

Just for comparison, though: I've run 12.0 at 114 with a combo that made 335 rwhp un-locked and 350 rwhp locked, corrected. So your numbers look reasonable compared to my un-locked, corrected numbers.

Man, isn't it time you spring for the 12 bolt or 9 inch??

That 293 dyno graph was amazing to look at though. Just a straight line across. Did you even make it to the track???

Mine is the same way. Torque peaked at 480 ftlb at 3600 rpm with peak HP coming at 6100 rpm.

Nope.

The rear was trash, and I wasn't about to make any passes with a broken rear. I'm wiring a manual lockup switch today, getting the rear fixed tomorrow, and hoping that I'll get some REAL passes by the weekend. I'll keep you posted Sean!
