What is the best way to search for exhaust leaks? When I start my Z28, there is a distinct "ticking" that sounds like it is coming from the drivers side when inside the car but from under the hood it sounds like it is coming from the passenger side. The "ticking" is in time with rpm and is more pronounced under load. That's why I think it might be a exhaust manifold leak. I've used my automotive stethescope and hunted around the engine bay for the source of the ticking, but the only thing I can find making a distinctive "ticking" is each of the injectors. Nothing from anywhere on the valve covers and I've tried hunting around the exhaust manifold and can't find anything. Any suggestions?
