How do I reset the timing on the opti distributor

I just test fired the car and it cranks but the engine doesnt start, I just tested the spark from the opti and im finally getting some but the car still wont start, I have a feeling I goofed the timing when installing it. How can you set the timing? Thanks.

You can't adjust the timing on the opti. You will have to pull the opti and put it on correctly.

Timing can't be changed on these cars save thru the ecm.

You could have:

Put the opti on wrong
Not reattached the opti pigtail connector that runs from the opti to the connector next to the intake manifold.

Since you're getting spark, I don't know what to think of other than that, unless you just forgot something.

Nope everything is on, It wont fire, I got the plug from the intake in the opti, 2 vacuum lines and double checked the firing order. I cant figure out why the car isnt starting.

Is this going on a 95 or later car? Or are you converting to a vented version? The reason I ask is the vented ones have a longer plug that goes in the top of the opti, if you used your old plug it won't work. Also there are three possible holes the cam dowel can go into on the opti are you sure you installed it correctly? Just some things to check.
