How do I remove the waterpump gear..?

Okay now that I got the intake off, how do I remove the waterpump gear drive? I'm installing a double roller timing set and electic H2o pump and the cam sprocket won't clear the gear. Also when I put it back 2gether how should I seal the hole left in the timing cover where the WP gear used to be.

Thanks again!

Just pry it out. First remove the two bolts that holds the collar on.

Picture of water pump shaft.

You can rotate this plate enough to get behind it and pry the bearing out. Go from left side to right side until it comes out.

i knocked mine out with a small punch and hammer, just came right out.
i also had to trim my CPS sensor down, and took about 2 hours with the ole dremel to make that double roller clear. are you changing the cam while your there?
one more question, have you bought a 94-95 style hub yet?
i had too....

What is the difference between 94/95 and 96/97 style hub and why is it necessary to switch them?

originally i wanted to run the double roller b/c it was cheaper than the lt4 extreme and i wanted an electric wp. here is what i had to go through
1. electric wp
2. two of grinding to make it clear
3. do away with the crank position sensor. (obd1 conversion takes care of that) you have to leave the CPS reluctor out, the round peice that was in front of the crank sprocket. because it wont fit under the timing cover. this is why you have to have a 94-95 style hub because it is a tad longer than our 96-97 hub because of the reluctor not being there. i bought the one from thunderracing.com that is keyed. i did not know this until i put it all back together the pulley would have rubbed my optispark now that i have the longer style hub it works perfect. here is the thread that shoebox helped with this problem: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=135048

hope this helps
