How do i hook the computer up to the engine???

Question How do i hook the computer up to the engine???

the LT1 im gettin (from a roadmaster), well its comin with a different computer (from different roadmaster). will it be a simple plug in?

Yes it should be fine.

LT1 from one Roadmaster and PCM from another Roadmaster.

what im asking though is is it going to be hard to actually hook the computer up to the engine? how do the two connect?

You need A) the PCM, B) the engine, and C) the wiring harness. Do you have all three? Connect all the harness connectors to the appropriate points... there are 4 large connectors on the PCM, and a myriad of connections to the engine and dashboard. Do you have a wiring diagram for the Roadmaster? That would help you sort out which wire/connector goes where.

Wiring stuff IMO is the worst part about an engine swap, but it will teach you ALOT about the sensors (when you pin things out to check for problems), and the setup in general.

Factory service manual, or even something with wiring diagrams would be worth its weight in gold. Expect some downtime because wiring is not a 1 day job, unless you've done it before.
