how to delete air and egr systems totally?
sorry guys i know that this has been posted on thousands of times (i think i even posted on similar topics a couple of times) but when i did a search all i could find was how to replace the egr valve and the search brought up every dam post that ever had air in it, so it would take me weeks just to find a decent post on what im lookin for. anyway im wanna get rid of both these systems completely, allday everyday my SES light occasionally goes on and turns off, b/c of that dam stickin egr valve so ive come to the conclusion that me and that POS need to part our ways. as for the air pump, i just see it as unsprung/dead weight, it aint helpin my car perform better so it needs to go. can someone tell me how to delete these systems completely, EVERYTHING i will need to delete both the systems, and lastly where to get the parts (block off plates, etc)?...diagrams and before and after pics would be nice if available! thanx in advance

You will need to remove the EGR valve and install block off plates for the valve and the EGR passenger exhaust manifold to intake manifold pipe (also on the back of the intake manifold.)
These guys can send you the block off plates or you can make your own.

Remove the AIR pump and all associated lines. Install plugs (I used oil drain plugs from NAPA) in the exhaust manifolds where the AIR pump lines went. Install a vacuum cap where the AIR pump inlet line drew air from your intake piping. Remove all associated AIR and EGR vacuum control lines and use vacuum caps to block fittings on the intake manifold. Assorted packages of vacuum caps can be attained at almost any auto parts store. There is a hard line for the AIR system that runs from the driver’s side to the passenger side. This hard line can be difficult to remove. If you chouse to remove it, cut it in half at the bottom front of the engine. As it is a little bit of a pain, you can instead just leave it. I'm not sure what your 95 will need in the way of programming to avoid codes.
Hope this helps,
JeffA

I have blocked my EGR (but still on the car) and have removed the AIR system completely.
There is a code 32 for the EGR that can be programmed out as well as a code 29 for the AIR. I disabled the 32, but never the 29 because in 95's the AIR pump does not give feedback regarding whether it is working or not unlike OBD II.
You should have no issues with your SES if you can program the code 32 out.

I highly recc. tunercat.com and I use Datamaster to look at my PCM while running. Also, Datamaster may give you insight into why your EGR is giving you your SES.

I highly recommend their plates. I have them and they fit perfectly and of course work perfectly. You can always make your own but I went this way because it was less hassle for me.
