How common is intake oil leak?
I have 93z with 70k on it and burns oil about 1 quart in 3000 miles, I see blue smoke when I start it and then goes away I figured out that is from bad valve seals but I think that is half the problem, that is just too much oil burned by bad valve seals just wandering if I could have intake oil leak too or is it something worse.

It is very common for this to happen. Take a paper towel or rag and whipe along the backside of the intake. This is where it normally will happen. I think most will agree that its not "if" you get the intake leak, its "when" you get it. The good part about this is its a very easy fix that you can do yourself in a couple of hours and doesn't cost much either.

the intake oil leak shows up as oil that is on the back of your engine, or a few drops on the pavement when u move your car. its from the sealant at the back of the manifold deteriorating and letting oil seep through. An intake leak wont burn any oil i dont think. If you are bruning oil its a different problem.

Yes the intake leak wont cause you to burn the oil, simply your going to leak it down the backside of your engine and all over everything else under there.

The 93 had it a 70K, and the 95 had it at 27K.
