Your going to need a scanner to look at the IAC. The TPS can be checked with a meter, but a scanner can more easily look at the readings.

What scanner is the best out there now for LT1s? In an ideal world with money being no object.

Depends on the year of the PCM. Autotap is only for OBD-II (96/97). OP has a 94, which is OBD-I (93-95). "Wild1" hasn't told us what year his car is, so we can't acurately answer his question. For OBD-I, there are Auto Xray OBD-I scanners that are available fairly cheap, used, on eBay. Make sure its a "real" scanner, and not something like the $30 Actron "code reader", which is simply a device to short the ALDL pins, and only works on a 93.

The absolute best scan tool, money no object, would be the OTC Tech-2 that the GM service techs use, which lists for $9,000 and can be had for about 1/2 that cost new, and less used.

For OBD-I scanning software (just in case you are not a billionaire ):

Sorry, I've got a '95 Z28. I've wanted to check my IAC and TPS too with the new TB and Dyno Tune. Can you provide a link to OP?

I should start a new thread, if this is a steal I am sorry.
