How are the BBK shorty headers?

I have really been thinking about a set of headers for my 94z vert I just got. I was just wondering what the opinions are on them. I will be getting coated ones no matter what I get. My last z had Rk sport headers on there but I really don't wanna spend that much right now. Summit had the BBk caoted shortys for 389. I also have had on my eye on the mac coated shortys. let me know what you think about the bbk's

Or you can get Jet Hot Mac Headers and Y-pipe. I think there is a GP going for them. I got my Macs from jet hot and they are awesome and I gotta say that the plug access is alot better. You will also notice a gain. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

They aren't the best header out there but definately better than stock manifolds. I helped a friend put a set on his T/A and we had to redrill several of the bolt holes to make them fit right. Quality control is not their first priority.

I have them. I had to have the y pipe cut in two pieces and rewelded. It was the wrong angle. I also had problems with the pipe that runs into it from the egr. They seem to be ok now but should have been perfect when i got them. Jegs paid the labor for the ypipe. I would get hooker long tubes if i were you.

MAC's are a good choice and are nicely priced! They are a midlength header.

i have the bbk's. I have had them for 2 years now. I didnt have problems with welds or plug holes not lining up. I did have problems with the ypipe, I went with a custom one for 80 bucks and removed my cat too. I am prolly gonna go with coated long tubes this summer, because i didnt know enough when i bought them so i opted for the uncoated cuz they were cheaper. 8000 plug wires later, i finally got it squared away. They did give good low end torque, but nothing up top.

Pass on them. I had a terrible experience with their crappy product and customer service. I would recommend anyone else's header over a BBK.

thanks for all the replies guys...
I will Not be going with the BBK's , damn good thing I asked first huh?

I don't think I wanna go with long tubes, think I will stick with shorties.

Flyinz, are your macs coated? Are they for 94-95 single cats? if they are in good shape I may be interested in taking them off your hands.
