How bad will a slipping tranny affect dyno numbers...

I dynoed my little brother's Z28 today and was wondering if they are somewhat accurate despite his tranny going bye-bye.

Last dyno, he put down 282rwhp and 313rwtq with just K&N FIPK and Hooker Longtubes

This dyno with Stage 1 ported heads, LT4 Hotcam, 1.6 RRs, CSI electric H2O pump and a SLIPPING tranny he put down 340.2rwhp and 334rwtq.

So, will a tranny affect the dyno numbers? I just thought he would gain a LOT more torque than 20rwtq with the addition of H/C/H2O

That's what we were thinking. His car SPANKED a blown 98 Vobra from a stop and ran right next to it from a 50punch. I was expecting at least 365rwhp and about that in torque. He gets his new tranny installed this week and then we are going to a different dyno after that (the one where he originally dynoed that 282 initial dyno run).

The dyno today seemed VERY low. A 2001 SS put down only 309rwhp and he had lid, pulley, ypipe, SLP dual/dual and the LS6 intake manifold (which comes stock). I was expecting his car to at-the-very-least put down 330rwhp.
