Clutch won't disengage?!?!
Clutch won't disengage?!?!
I put my new engine in, along with a new clutch, but it doesn' work right. It is really hard to get into gear, and if the clutch is in with the car in gear, it won't disengage. So if its in first and I try to start it, it just jumps forward.
Could this be because it is new, and the pressure plate and clutch are just stuck together a little? I have heard of some people just letting the car lurch forward until it frees itself. Would this work?
I just don't want to have to take the tranny off again.

I am 99% sure the flywheel, clutch, and pp are in right. Maybe the stick on the slave cylinder is hitting the edge of the clutch fork or something because it isn't in right. Any other possibilities?
I am hoping something is just stuck and will come apart after starting the car.

I think I might have found the solution. Is the rod coming out of the slave cylinder supposed to flop around? If it's not, then I think the rod is broke. Is it supposed to move freely, or come straight out of the cylinder?
TTT
I still am not sure what is wrong. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Is the slave cylinder pushrod supposed to come straight out, or should it move frelely in the end of the cylinder?
