This thing is such a pain in the ***. Last weekend I fixed the header leak I had. So the car runs great for a little less than a week, today I start it up and it is only running on 7 cylinders.

I cant figure it out. I checked the plug wires on the drivers side of the motor where we did the gasket, then I checked the opti side, the car isnt throuhing any codes...i cant figure it out. Man this sucks I dont have money to have this **** fixed and I gotta get to work tommarow

Oh yea I also tried unplugging the injectors to try and figure out which one is missing but I cant tell cause the idle drops so dramatically.

This is a nasty thing to trace unless you're obd2...

Either way, my advice is check the 4 cylinders on the passenger side. Those wires are so incredibly hard to route around the pulleys that perhaps one got out of the loom and got ground through. It happened to me at one point, and I couldnt find the problem either. You could always just go to a dealership and tell them to find it with a Tech2.

It's not a real good thing because it dumps some raw fuel into the cat. For a very short term, you will probably survive. Your gas mileage won't be too good along with the miss you feel.

Yea just found the prob on the passenger side. I burnt a plug wire, I guess I didn't run the wires as good as I thought I did.

Hey can I just wrap the part of the wire that is burnt with electrical tape and zip tie it out of the way of the header will this work? At least as a temporary solution?

i would be most concerned with dumping raw fuel down the cylinder walls

Its always a good time to stop using the factory wire looms. They are plain out too close to heat sources. I got tired of burnt up wires, so i got out the cable ties, and it has been good since.
