How accurate is the stock oil pressure gauge?

How accurate is the stock oil pressure gauge?
For those of you who have installed accurate aftermarket oil pressure gauges, how accurate have you found the stock gauge to be? When it says 40psi what does your aftermarket gauge show?

I have an AutoMeter mechanical gauge, and it isn't significantly different that the stock dash gauge.
