HAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA! Def go bigger! When I found out I could get inspection stickers I said bye bye to the weasel hotcam even though some guys are doing pretty good with it!
For the cam, I dunno what to charge, but probably like $450 plus shipping for the kit. It is brand spanking new still in box, been sitting in my room for only like a month now.
Passing the cc306 in california is kinda hard i think. It might be possible proper tuning.

i personally even if i didnt have emmisions, i'd still go with the hotcam kit...i dont want to make my car that much more powerful, cause then i'd want to get awesome flowing heads and then i'll have a crap load of power that'll make my car that much more less of a good daily driver for me...although i only drive in the summer anyways, but thats me...so i'd get the hotcam kit for my situation...
Hey, camaro37, what kind of times do u pull? Did u do any computer modification, and where do i buy a steel crank for the LT1...I have read that because of the way its balanced you cant use a 350 crank....but i was thinkin....if i got the bottom end balanced i could probably use any crank i wanted...and any balancer....could this be my ticket away from the LT1 serpentine balancer, which would make my retrofit easier....anyone?

z86roc28: I haven't had a chance to get to the track, but I am planning on going soon. I did have to have my computer programmed (cheap and easy from pcmforless.com). I got my cast steel crank from SCAT, it is suppose to be good for 700hp and 7k rpm. LT1s come from the factory internally balanced in the front and externally in the rear. I bought a SCAT 9000 crank for an internal balance, which allowed me to keep the stock balancer and the shop ground the weights on the flywheel down. If you wanted to get rid of the stock balancer and use something else get a external balance crank, they are all the same price (~$200).
speedmiser: I haven't had a chance to dyno either. All I can say is this thing is a beast! I lose traction anytime I go WOT, time for new tires. According to Desktop Dyno 2k and Engine Analyzer peak hp should be in the 5500-6000 rpm range.
A dyno and track time right now is iffy, I know my fuel pump can't keep up so I need to replace it before I ruin something.
