What kinda HP gains from hotcam kit??
on stock headers
im also installing mac headers w/ offroad pipe (no cats)
converting to OBDI and tuning

I dont personaly know the numbers but Im quite sure if you did a search you would turn up exactly what you are looking for.

I don't know of anyone that's put a hotcam on stock manifolds. I'd expect to see 60hp with the cam and headers.

Im doing a hot cam kit install with Hooker shorties on my 97. I cant wait. I was also curious on what it would give me and i found that site with stock manifolds.

I made around 70 HP from all my mods. Untouched heads.

 

When i did my headers, gears, Hot Cam kit, plugs and wires i probably gained about 45-50 RWHP. I still have to go to the dyno for tuning and numbers. I think 60 and 70 are overshooting a little. A hot cam isn't that aggressive that u will see those kinds of numbers on stock heads

 

If thats a real dyno graph. That would be about a 40hp gain at peak! Not to bad for a stock car with a hotcam.

 

My factory slug make the mods below with AS&Ms and hot cam....I dyno'ed before and after and gained 34 HP with the kit...I'm hoping to all hell I was getting a boat load of knock and that a tune will help me!
