I loved my hotcam. Sounds good at idle and has great low end torque. Plus I ran low 12's with it . Congrats on the good numbers.

Nice numbers! With some 1.6 RR's I'm sure your numbers will be about what mine are.

Lookin' good Steve.
Toss on some 1.6 RRs and get it tuned on a dynojet. By the way it looks it might come close to some of those 'other' cams out there...
Take it to a track and see what type of mph it pulls off

Nice numbers.. there is definitely some more power sitting on the table with a better tune and 1.6 roller rockers.

Good #'s but I personally don't like F-body Central. A couple of my friends took their cars up there and got sh*tty service.

i did the same thing when i had a hot cam... ran the stock rockers etc. when i went to 1.6's it made no diff. just so you know my experience don't expect alot from rockers

great numbers though, i would put some guide plates on there. the stock rockers come off easily...trust me on that

Did you reuse your stock lifters? The reason I ask is because I was think about the hot cam and was woundering if I could reuse my 92K lifters? Thanks

That's a very pretty torque curve, a very modest streetable setup with some decent numbers at the wheels.

They could go either way.

Here's my Hotcam dyno. This is on stock tuning through stock exhaust manifolds. I'm confident that with a good set of headers & tuning it wouldn't be tough to pass the 340 mark at the wheels.

Oh yeah, my last dyno before the cam was 296/323. The image above is for the cam only, rockers were already on the car.

I actually purchased a set of low milage lifters out of a LS1 car. I believe they had 20k on them and ran me $40 shipped. I figured I'd run a lesser chance of collapsing a lifter if I used something newer than my 109k LT1 lifters.

Good numbers SteveO...Did you make a 1/4 pass on the dyno? Thats a lot of fun!!!

No, I didnt get a chance to make a quartermile pass. I had thought about it before I showed up but it slipped my mind once I got there. Next time I go by the shop I'll be sure to get on the dyno again and give it a try.

Yea it is best to do it right and forget about it. That is what I will do then, get new/used lifters. Thanks

Nice numbers. I loved the times and numbers I got out of my hotcam, I couldnt have been happier with it. My only regret was with not upgrading the springs that came with the kit. I ruined two lifters and the cam when I overrevved it one too many times I'm just getting around to getting it back together and what cam did I go with......the hotcam I'm now using the crane 10308 spring kit with it this time, they seem like some pretty strong springs. I thought about going to a bigger cam but I'm sticking with the stock heads for now (2 kids, money is tight) so I figured why mess with a good thing. I'm doing a little clean up on the heads while its apart, can't wait to see what it will do next
