heres what i am doing. i have a built shortblock with stock heads(aluminum) and i have direct ported that manifold. im goin to look at spraying 250 to 300 through her. now a nice friend has a hotcam he said he would give me if i needed it( complete with rockers and springs) will this cam be very good with this about of nitro? or do i neeed something bigger? if i need something biugger exactly what all would i neeed to make it complete?

From what ive heard anything over a 175 shot or so on stock unported heads is pointless or the gains are minimal if at all. Yes the hotcam does work good on n2o but im not sure about a 250-300 shot. Are you sure your bottom end can handle that much n2o?

 

yes bottom end is built for it

 

I would look into getting a head/cam kit to get the most of the n2o then.
