Hot Cam Lifter Pushrods Question!!!
I have the engine apart right now. I just want to make sure that with the "LT4 hot cam kit" will work. Yes it will work i know but i need to make sure of these things....
1. Stock pushrod length is it the same with the hot cam and the roller rockers then?
2. Im changine the lifters also those also stock?
I bought for the push rods comp cams #7808-16 7.200 5/16 stock length pushrods hardened
For lifters i bought comp cams high energy lifters # 850-16
Just want to make sure this is the right stuff before it all goes in and its all back together.
All your knowledge is appreciated

I put a hot cam kit in a buddy's car and reused the stock pushrods, BUT none the less it is still important to check them.
I checked her's and they were right on the money but not all engines are the same. I advise would be to check them when you put it together. Easy way is to color the valve tip with a black magic marker and adj the valves and roll the motor over by hand through one cycle of the lobe and then remove your rocker and make sure the rocker is contacting the valve in the middle. Just a little trick a guy at the machine shop taught me!! Good luck!!!
