Hot cam with a knock problem...
I just got my motor running again and I am having a problem with knock. I can hear the car knocking under a load, and in the 10 mins I had the car out the knock sensor picked up over 10,000 knocks and was pulling timming every now and then.
I am running a 355 with KB Hyper. pistons. (cr ~10.8)
Hot cam with 1.6 RR's & guideplates
Advanced Induction Econo ported Heads with larger valves
32# Delphi injectors
New Opti
LT4 knock module
PCMforless tune with timing pulled back (timing hits about 30 deg at 4000 RPM)
160 deg thermostat (car running around 180 deg)
93 Octane pump gas
Also running stock exhuast manifolds/TB
Anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Should I keep pulling timing back until I have no power? Or would a colder spark-plug be benificial?
Thanks
