Hot cam installed and running
Hot cam installed and running
Finally got the bugs worked out of the Hot cam. The mechanic I was complaining about said that when they installed the opti wrong, that it must have fouled the plugs when they cranked it. Well after all the torement, I put down 310 rwhp and 325 rwtq (through an a4). The guy that dynoed said that I was getting ignition problems in the upper RPM's, and that my opti was probably going south. The dyno guy said that he could fell the car breaking up in the higher RPM's. Well I compared it the new dyno sheet to one from 4 months ago and it had similar spikes, so I guess my opti was been going south for awhile. BTW, on the road you can not tell that the car is breaking up at all. The dyno guy said that the dyno was more stressful on the car than the street and that it was probably just amplifing my ignition problem. I dont really know what to think about that, but I do know that it did not seem to be breaking up on the street.
He told me not to spray it on the dyno because of the rpm miss, but that i could spray it on the road because it was not missing on the road.
So what do you guys think. 310 rwhp and 325 rwtq on possibly bad opti.
