What did you end up setting the fuel pressure at? and what kind of fuel pressure regulator are you using?

I just put a new motor in w/ the LT4 hot cam 30# injectors and so on.... I'm using the stock regulator and the car seems to lean out after it warms up. I have posted a few times trying to get some input on what fuel presssure regulator to use and what to set it at but nobody seems to know.

Question

Are headers an absolute must before the hotcam kit?

If you want the best performance then yes.......In theory you can have the hot cam kit with stock everything, but you won't get anywhere near the 35 HP I got......

I have heard of some people here doing a cam/rr's before headers, but it doesn't make any sense to me. You would probably get more gain out of just doing a good set of headers and exhaust first then doing just the hotcam kit without headers. Plus headers are cheaper and easier to install. The stock manifolds are just too restrictive for a bigger cam.

I actually felt the HP gain when I did my headers.

You know, I wonder if there still isnt something wrong with your car.... I have almost the same exact setup as you minus the cam ( I have AS&Ms, high flow cat, CAI, 6 spd.) and I make 291rwhp, 328rwtq, and that's with a really rich car too, it needs tuning as well. I would think there should be more than 14rwhp between our setups

From what I understand my numbers are really good for my mods...a lot of people have similiar mods and similiar numbers....Maybe you're a factory freak?

Guys remember, two different dyno users, two different states can make a big difference in those numbers.

The Mustangs in the area all spray him with 150 shots just to run with him, granted some beat him by a little and some get beat but for having just a cam and exhaust you can't beat the power gains for as much as it costs..

I drove his car more than once and its alot more than i expected, not to mention the 100 shot he has to barey them stangs, they spray 150 at him, jump ahead a car length, then he sprays them with a 100 shot and jumps out 2-3 car lengths on them
Yeah, I can confirm this as I know the guy as well. Just hope I can get some nice results with my hotcam.
