Hot Cam in the 94....

Well, pretty soon ill be gettin the 200+k motor in my 94 LT1 rebuilt. So I was thinkin since I got a Hot Cam Kit layin around Id trow it in there while the motor was out and maybe do some head work(P&P,mill....) the car has some kinda aftermaret cat back,52mm tb,stock manifolds, all the other bolt ons free mods etc.....

So, what else would you guys add if it was your motor? and what kinda power would you expect from it?

If you're going to do the hotcam or any sort of aftermarket cam you're going to want some long tube headers to get the most out your car.

Dont call me an expert, or take what I say with 100% accuracy, but I think you should get some long tubes before you do anything to the heads. A bunch of people will say you need to go larger with the cam, but if you cant afford it, and its laying around, I say why not use it. I would recommend a pocket port and a valve job while the heads are off, stay away from full porting as you should probably change the cam if you do a full port job.

That should be pretty affordable if you have money after the long tubes and a nice x pipe. But really focus on the exhaust before doing anything else, and you should have a 12 second car with at least 330rwhp.

4.10's, that high of stall, hot cam, and some long tubes: should be a beast! a stroker motor wont be worth your money with that cam. often times when people get strokers and ask what cam, many will say gm 847 which is the biggest. i dont know enough to tell you, but what I do know tells me keep it simple stupid
