hose replacements

ok i ordered all my radiator hoses from gmpartsdirect, and it says i will receive them on monday, i get back from work about 6:00 P.M. how long would you think it would take you?

or how long does the dealers charge? (job hours?)

cause i wanna get it finnished asap...

ohh another thing... what happens if u fill the overflow w/ water but the car leaks... my car leaks a lot and i wanna put as much water in the system as possible, so ive been filling my overflow w/ water and topping off the radator (probably after 100 miles ive lost a gallon of water ) so im keeping it full..

Hmm... drain the radiator and remove all the hoses? Probably about an hour give or take how skillful you are at getting those goofy factory hose clamps off. The hardest ones, IMO, are the ones at the sides of the radiator, the water pump sides are pretty straight forward.

I had that same issue 2 years ago but didnt fix it myself. I just took out my radiator and drained the block though. That whole process probably took about an hour or so. The hardest part is getting the drain plugs off. The only accessible one was the knock sensor because I couldnt get a wrench on the other side due to the Longtubes in the way.
