i would say about 250rwhp or if you want to talk it up to your friends then quote something like 290fwhp... you really dont have that many mods.

Yes you are correct, the 96 and 97 cars had had 285, b/c of the addition of a 2nd cat....in my opinion, and honestly the parts should be worth this
4-6hp-no cat
3-6hp-k&n
3-6hp-muffler
0-1hp-airfoil
totals, min of 10..max of 19 so tell you friends you got 294, tell yourself you got about 287, sounds good to me anywyaz

yeah you guys are right, i kinda guessed of not more than maybe arround 290hp (not rear wheel), i think that sounds kinda fair and more realistic. thanks for your replies.

Horsepower TV dyno'ed a 96 Impala SS with only a 52MM throttle body showing a gain of only 2.8HP at 5400RPMs. But lower down in the power band it added as much as 12HP at 3200RPMs!

Just something to keep in mind....everyone is always fixated on what they gained at the peak....
very true. you may only gain 1 hp on paper, but much more across the board.

or you may gain a lot of peak hp, but little across the board.

what mods do what i couldn't tell you
