Yes you are correct, the 96 and 97 cars had had 285, b/c of the addition of a 2nd cat....in my opinion, and honestly the parts should be worth this

Horsepower TV dyno'ed a 96 Impala SS with only a 52MM throttle body showing a gain of only 2.8HP at 5400RPMs. But lower down in the power band it added as much as 12HP at 3200RPMs!
Just something to keep in mind....everyone is always fixated on what they gained at the peak....
