horror day at dyno

well did my first dyno run today at CAM... really great guys... anyway both of my o2s were dead as nails... and i think i have bent valves cuz it sounds like i have really weak compression... as soon as he tried to trun the motor over all of them said it had no compression which i dont know any different being this is my first engine build and plus just swappin a v6 for a lt1... anyway with dead o2s and weak compression i pulled 356 rwhp, so i hope to figure out everything and hit the dyno again

Re: horror day at dyno

You need to do a compression test to be sure.

Impossible to offer any help without some details of the engine.

Re: horror day at dyno

You would have ZERO hp at the wheels with no compression.

Re: horror day at dyno

yeah im anxious to see what itll do... the compression numbers were between 15-35 the only good cylinder pushed 190... lotta people didnt believe that it actually cranked on that kind of compression.. another bad thing the machine guy thats supposed to check all of my valve guides and redo my valve seats is at the beach for like 2 weeks... so more waiting hahaha

Are you sure you have adequate PTV clearance?

Re: horror day at dyno

not sure yet... im plannin on doin the clay method before i put it all back together... everything is supposed to be right.... but i did have the timing chain out of line at one point that bent up some pushrods, but didnt know at the time bout the valves... so i think the everything is ok with clearance, but im gonna make sure
