horrible miss under 2000rpm

hey.
I have develeped a bad miss in the motor under about 2000rpm in any gear. It happens when you put the pedal down, and it shakes really hard and has a tough time getting speed up. After you hit around 2000 rpm, the shake goes away and the motor runs strong. I wasn't sure if it could be timing or a clogged fuel filter or what. I need to find out what it could be before I go investing in parts that isn't guaranteed to work. Thanks.

I would change the fuel filter either way.. Most likely you prolly need to do it.. even if it doesnt help the miss. your helping your car out by doing it... as for the miss.. could be your ICM/COIL/ BAD PLUGS/BAD WIRES. or at the worst the OPTI..

Try testing the ICM and COIL.. check for arching of the wires at night by maybe jackin the front end up and running the car for a few.. you'll know if your arching... let us know what u find..

thanks.
i just put plugs in, so is there a possibility that if I broke one, it is causing the miss only at low rpm? The wires should be good but I will check them anyway.

I guarantee you its ignition related, probably ripped the core of a wire doing the spark plug install. 99.9% sure its NOT the opti.
