Arrow Hooker sortie header owners inside

I recently put Hooker shortie headers in my car drve it for a week then burnt through 2 wires. I was wondering what ur set up is if u run ur wires over the valve covers or in the stock location? and what type of spark plug wire wrap do u use?

driver side was a peice of cake. The air pump is removed so I was able to route wire under the headers to the opti. The passenger side I had to route the front two under the headers and the rear two over the headers and behind the alumminum bracket. I also had to go to better wires than factory 7mm. I was burning them up once a month. I went to Accel 8.8mm and routed them the way I said and have had no problems since. If you need Pictures let me know

I have LTs so there may be a slight difference but I have MSD superconductors and I run them in basically the stock locations, I just use alot of zip ties to keep them off the headers. I have more than 500 miles on it now since the LT install and my wires look great. Oh one thing, on the passenger side run the wires through the motor mount and through the brackets to the opti, put some convoluted tubing over the wires where they run through the brackets and you will be good.

I've had Hooker shorties on for about a year w/ MSD 8.5 mm Super Conductors in stock routing position, no wraps, and no burnt wires. Wires didn't fit in stock looms so I used tie straps to keep them together. Maybe MSD's are longer than other wires...
