Hooker shorties quick question

How did you connect your hooker y-pipe to the cat? I don't want to weld or cut my y-pipe since its jethot coated.

You should have got one additional flange with your headers, which should be welded to the cat and then it's just matter of bolting y-pipe and cat together.

Hmmm I kinda thought that was the case. I purchased them new from jet hot. I had a strong gut feeling that in the process of jethot buying, coating, repacking, selling, shipping that the little important things would get lost. All I got was headers and y-pipe. Thats it. No bolts for the y-pipe. No hooker paperwork.
But Chris at jethot is working with me.

If I can't get this fixed from jethot.

Where can I purchase this flange?

I checked with a local shop and he has to order by the 10 count I don't need 10. Plus he would have to mash the round pipe to the oval shape.

Your headers should have come with a package containing the flange, gaskets and bolts. Jet Hot will probably send them to you. I had a similar experience with them on my shorties. They forgot the y pipe.

At the muffler shop they will have to "ovalize" the cat inlet to weld it to the flange.

Talking Flange for exhaust

If they don't send you one,I have 2 flanges.Had a friend of mine make me 4 flanges.I was gonna put in an off-road pipe but decided not too.
All you will have to do is pay shipping.

dunno if you have a 'discount auto' near you but they sell a set of flanges for $15 I think. Just check around at places like AZ, Napa, etc.

Hmm looks like JetHot has two problems --
1 Hard to get a phone call in.
2 Slow and forgetfull shipping

But the product is topnotch and theres no one else to use.

I had the same problem, I emailed Hooker/Holley tech support and they sent one to me at no charge.
