Hooker LTs rubbing K-member...

So I finally got my car up on a lift to check out why my Y-pipe was vibrating against the body but found out the problem is actually a damn header primary rubbin the k-member on the pass side. It didnt do this a month ago when I put them on and it seems like colder it is outside, the worse the problem gets. I am thinking new motor mounts are in order but I wanna make sure they will actually raise the motor up at least 1/2 inch.

How difficult of a job is it installing poly mounts with the headers in?

My old stock rubber mounts were well worn and half inch isn't out of the question! You'll be kicking yourself for not replacing them when the headers were out, but the job is doable with them in. Good luck

I had to "notch" the k-member a small amount with a torch to clearance the header tube. Wasn't much, but enough that it would have "rubbed" otherwise. The bigger issue was with the driver's side collector.
