Hooker LT woes

Not really, but i am very frustrated. Somebody please help me. I am working on my Hooker LT install on my 95 z28 M6 and im having some trouble. I got the passenger side in w/o jacking up the motor, but the drivers side still wont go in even when i have jacked up the motor 3-4" on that side!! Steering knuckled and oil filter have been removed, and the car is plenty high. WTF is going on? The header just keeps on getting caught up on the K-member. Am i supposed to separate the Drivers side header into two pieces like it is from the factory? You can see where it came in two places. I thought the drivers side was supposed to be easy?

Any tips to getting the front primary disconnected? its rusted on there pretty good.

Yea you might have to disengage the primary unfortunatly i think. Try penetrating oil all over that slip fit and give it some light bangs to try and break it loose. Thats all i can think of.

Heating the area and then lightly tapping the piece should get it apart. If you don't has access to a torch then try PB Blaster brand penetrating spray. That stuff is pretty amazing and works well.

Should be easy to put it back together. If it is rusty just sand the part that slips inside of the other tube a bit and that should help.
