Hooker LT Exhaust leak?

I just got my hooker LT's installed. I can here a slight ticking sound now. I know i have a leak somewhere. I'm pretty sure it comes from the #1 primary where it slips on. It looks like a pretty tight fit though. How can i tell to make sure its comeing from there and not from where the headers bolt onto the head?

Also if there is a leak on the #1 primary slip fit will that make me loss any hp?

Cool

If you have any leaks before the O2 sensors you will lose performance. A quick and easy way to track down header leaks is to use a 1" diameter rubber hose and use it as a probe. Put one end next to your ear and use the other end to probe around the header. When you hit the leaky area you will hear it via the tube. Good luck!

It works for some people, others it doesn't...

I've had good luck with the Ultra Copper RTV, and 2-cycle exhaust sealent...

Don't worry about it. It won't hurt. After you drive it alot(about a month) and it expanding and contracting due to heat cycles it closes up on its own. Ya'll get excited over the smallest stuff.

I didn't put anything on my slip fit and it sealed up on its own. It just takes many heat cycles.

HERE is a thread about my slip-fit fix. If it is a slight leak, it may seal up by itself, but the best thing to do would be to take it to a muffler shop have have them very slightly expand the end of the #1 primary.
