Angry Hooker long tube screws and installation

I would also recommend going with Stage 8 Header bolts.

Where do I get those???

The problem here is not that they get loose.. is that I cant tighten them... My bolts are touching the exhaust tube and I cant get a small wrench in there and I I tried to use allen bolts and I cant get an allen tool in there either... space is too tight!!! too tight!!! too tight!!!!!!!!!

LMK what you guys use and pics if possible...

Thanks

get some bolts with 3/8 inch head - that will give you more room for a wrench - summit has a pack for about $10

I had the same trouble with my ARP 12 points. If it wasnt for my buddy Jason Short and his wrench I wouldnt have been able to get them off. Its a wrench with a real, real thin edge to it. If you got a 6 point bolt it should be too much of a problem to get a wrench in there...

I have a 12 face 10mm screw... it doesnt work that well either, the wrenches just dont fit well... I will try and get the screw shaved a bit to see if it helps... I was trying to use allen screws and it doesnt work that well either...

I dont know what to do... I am beginning to hate theese headers...

Its been 2 days to just install them.. I hope I see big gains over my shorties...

This has been a real PITA.

Any other suggestions???

Call up Thunder Racing and have them get you some correct bolts. I have stage 8's, but I had to get the washers ground down a bit to get them by the header tubes.

When i installed my ARP 12 points, I needed to grind a wrench down real thin to get a couple of the bolts on the passenger side.

I was able to put them in... I went to a local speed shop and they had some sets and They went in easier since they were shorter than the ones that I had...
