Hooker Catback, 2 years old and exhuast mount lets go!

I have had my Hooker CB for about 2 years now. Just last night the rear most exhaust hanger on the drivers side decided to let go. It tore and broke in one spot and in another was starting to tear. This is just an fyi to any potential customers. I have had no problems til now and have gotten ALOT of compliments on how well it sounds. Ill have pics up later. Its time now to weld up a new bracket and inspect the rest of the exhaust.

The light rust that can be seen is only a light surface rust.

I have flowmaster on mine, they were on the car when I got it...I dont have any hangers after the mufflers, on the tips or anything. It kinda just holds itself up from the front hangers or wherver the last hanger would be under the car....it does move a lot, but have never had problems...I'll get it fixed eventually.

yeah...the flowmaster is SS though, the hooker is not, its aluminized, it will eventually rust, speed depends on weather and such

All the pipe as painted black (coated about 3 times) prior to install. Plus the only moister it encounters is from temperature change, it does not see rain or snow. But rust played no part in the brackets breaking. That picture makes it look quite rusty but it really is not.
Im welding it back now.....and doing quite a chitty job. I cant wait til the day I own a house and buy a rack. Rhinos just dont get it high enough.

After some welding:

Im thinking of adding an extra brace to go from the back of the bracket to the exhaust pipe.
