Lots of KNOCK at the track..pleae your input

Well i went to the track tonight and decided to run freescan and log all 3 passes...i filled her up with 100 octance race fuel and i was psyched..
all 3 passes...KNOCK...and a **** load of it...i dont understand? Im really frustrated right now...i even had the cutout capped and i have a LT4 KM in there as well.
I sent my logs to Ion to see what was going on..hopefully he can get back to me soon..if anyone would like to take a look at them and give me your opinions/input.. it would be much appreciated..

oh ya i also broke my tranny mount....like its Fully broken...driving home was fun with the tranny smacking againt my seat at speeds of 80mph for an hour long... oh well guess the 1LE mount goes in tomarrow

Wrong.

You can get false know from lots of things. Rockers, lifters, cutouts, headers etc. The lt4 KM is just less sensitive, but it will still pick up some stuff, might be real, might be false.

Running 100 octane, and still seeing retard, i would be fairly confident its false.

In my car i just zeroed out all the knock tables to it cant pull timing. Got tired of messing with false knock. Pay attention to it if it knocks or pings, and get off the gas. Simple as that.

one 4300 ohm(I think) resistor, no more false knock.

the false knock could have been caused by the tranny moving around, since its usually shot before it finally goes

thanks guys...

my car never runs above 185 degrees
i was running 100 octane
so its hard to believe this was real knock

i just installed my 1LE tranny mount 10 min ago..all noise/vibration is gone when i took it off the whole rubber chunked right off in my hand..it was shot

should i do the resister thing as obviously my LT4KM isnt doing ****

how do i go about doing this resister mod? is it safe? what if it is real knock and then it would be bad to have it in

Maybe Ion can send me another email tune that i would run only at the track that cancels out the knock...would do u think

ps..raced a stick new Mustang GT last night....with a broken tranny mount and all lot of knock and still smoked him

log a ¼ run on a deserted road and still see if you have knock first, if so it may not be false knock, it could also be a hot spot somewhere
