Hooker cat-back and K&N FIPK installed.
Finished up my hooker cb and CAI today. I can feel and big increase of sotp. Love the way the hooker cb sounds. Pretty easy to put on also. Hardest part about the cat-back was taking my old pipes off which was the original pipes. Rung one bolt that bolts the pipe to the cat, that took a couple hours drilling that thing out and retapping it and finding new bolt. Then had trouble cutting old pipes off, hacksaw just wouldn't do it. After trying that bout an hour. Finally took a drill and made a hole in the pipes and took jig saw and cut it out. I had to cut pipes twice cause it wouldn't come over the axle. It sucks not having the right tools. The FIPK was simple. Now the car has alot better throttle response. and runs great. I cut a hole out in the splashguard and was wondering if anybody had any problems with this when it rains. Tomorrow I will install my 160 thermostat.
i've had a GIGANTIC whole in my plastic paneling down there since i installed my FIPK a while ago and no problems yet, i was going to clean the filter a couple weeks ago, but once i got down there to take it off, it looked great, so i didnt mess with it...
Also one more thing on the FIPK, the one hose that plugs into it on the back, that goes to the air pump, it has a tendancy to come off every couple hundred mi or so, so put a clamp on it, mine kept slipping off even though its not binding at all w/o a clamp that is?
