hooker aerochamber mufflers
hooker aerochamber mufflers
Do they sound good? How are they compared to flowmaster's? I had flowmaster's 40 series and they were way too loud for me. Is hooker aerochamber mufflers just a little louder than stock?
I have the muffler, not the whole catback, and they are just a tad bit louder at idle. When getting on it, you can hear them, but they're not really loud. Nice smooth, rumbly tone. They sound great, nothing like the annoying drone inside the car like the flowmaster makes.
At cruise it is only a little louder than stock. You can carry on a conversation without raising your voice. It does it's talking when you put your foot down. A lot less snap, crackle, and pop as well.
Does it have any weird sounds, like buzzing etc.
? or just a steady tone through the rpm range? I guess I'm going to go for them, it's hard to tell until you have them. I've listened to all kinds of sound files but you can't really tell from them. I'm having 2" exhaust that goes to 2.5" behind the engine, so far no H or X pipe, and exiting in front of rear tires (truck).

No weird sounds. You had the flowmaster, you know that drone in the interior it gives off, the hooker doesn't do anything like that. Just a nice smooth growl throughout the RPMs. Unless you get on it, then it gets loud, but not super/annoying loud.
