explanation of these parts please
The panhard rod aligns your rear axle and keeps it centered. Needed if you lower the car, or want to put on bigger tires, but helps even if you don't do these things. You can see it in the back end of the car, just before the muffler. The differential spins your tires, posi (i'd say it's limited slip) meaning if one tire slips the other spins (hence two black strips when you burn out). I assume the 3-series part refers to the carrier and what gears you have to use. The rear end girdle replaces the cover on the rear axles differencial cover, and helps strengthen it (you can see the girdle if you get on the ground and look at the back of the car, it's the circular thing in the center of the axle). As far as the ripper linkage, I assume it's a short-throw shifter which allows you to change gears quicker.
